It’s September and the United States will celebrate its Labor Day this year. It is a federal holiday that is celebrated each year on the first Monday of September which is the 5th to honor the labor community of the country and to give them a sense of achievement for all that they give to develop this state. The three-day weekend followed by Labour Day is called the Labour Day Weekend.

Why does the US celebrate Labor Day?

During the late 19th century as the country was established and the trade union and the labor community grew it was urged by the trade unionists to propose the idea of having a day totally dedicated to the hard-working labor of this state and to promote it to be called ‘Labor Day’, the Central Labor Union and the Knights of Labor organized the first parade for this day in New York and in 1887 Oregon was the first state in the United State to declare this as a public holiday. In 1984 thirty states in the United States of America by law declared the first Monday of September each year a federal holiday known as ‘Labor Day.’

On the first Monday of September, a federal holiday is declared according to the law in 1984 by the government of the United States, and this day is called Labor Day. The coming holiday after Labor Day is called Labor weekend so the whole first week in the US is dedicated to the hard-earned community of the United States which is the sole reason for the country’s development.

The International Peace day is celebrated on the 21st of September annually to devote the strength within and amongst our community in the whole nation and remember and prosper peace. When wars and terror engulf our life cycle and damage any society with its people bringing their morals down and destroying their confidence a boost of motivation. The International Peace day acts as a reminder to all of us, a day of the healing many says for it makes us remember the days should be spent in peace and that it should be implemented in our lives, in our communities, and in our land.

In 1981, the United Nations General Assembly declared the third Tuesday of September as International Day of Peace. The purpose of the day was and still remains, to strengthen the ideals of peace around the world. Two decades after establishing this day of observance, in 2001, the assembly moved the date to be observed annually on September 21. It is not only a time to discuss how to promote and maintain peace among all peoples but also a 24-hour period of global ceasefires and non-violence for groups in active combat.
